Welcome to Hyper-Space, a DeviantART club for Star Wars Deviants!

What we do:
This club is aimed at making Star Wars artists and writers much easier to find. It’s like a telephone book. Some of us don’t have paid for DeviantART accounts, which makes finding Star Wars fan works just that bit more difficult. We’re forced to sit in isolation, and pounce on any comments we get to see if those that look at us have any Star Wars fan works themselves.

This is where Hyper-Space makes things easier…

We list all our members accounts in a journal, telling the fan work starved searcher just what type of art or stories they do, and spreading the word. In return for this free publicity, all the artist/writer him/herself has to do is publicise the club. Quite simple, really.

To Join:
Send a note with the subject “Join” to the club account
Add the icon to your journal. You can make it by typing : i c o n h y p e r - s p a c e : into your journal; without the spaces, of course.
Add us to your DEVwatch

Members without Star Wars fanart can join, but they’ll be added under a separate header to those with galleries. Do DEVwatch the club though. It makes us easier to come back to in the future, and will get all the club news to you.

Rules:
Please don’t argue in the comment boxes
You can place links to your work in the comment boxes, but don’t SPAM.
Don’t send notes containing links to your artwork to the club account. We just haven’t got time to read them.

Contests:
Come on everyone! I've not had any entries yet!
We have a new contest and you're all invited to participate! Shimmy along to this [link] We only have one entry so far, so the dates have been extended. If you have -anything- you can enter into this contest, please send it along! We really want to see it!

Games
The concept of games came up. For fun, contests without prizes, as it were. The idea is simple. Now and again we post an image. A background of a planet, where you have to name the planet, or maybe an EU character, from description alone, that you have to name the character. Maybe even caption contests, much like the Sev comic, where you have to fill in the possible speech bubbles. Just like on Coruscant: the sky's the limit - we'll see how high it goes.

Go and check out the games we have so far - I'll be adding a new contest soon, though this time I'm considering a Name That Character. *smiles sweetly* Well, get on with it then!

Other minor things:
Let's just set the groundwork here. First of all, we don't favourite people's art unless it's the winner of a club competition. It's expressly forbidden under the DeviantART Rules to favourite stuff just because the art is by members. If you see something you like when you’re surfing out members galleries, then feel free to favourite it. It’s none of our business. We’re just the medium, getting people to what they want to see.

We do not seek to disrupt DeviantART, or flout its rules at all. If we’re doing something wrong, please warn us about it first, so that we can amend. The last thing we want to do is get on the wrong train.

Deviant of the Moment!

The Deviant of the Moment is most definitely ~wicktone, who had acheived a Daily Feature today, the 24th August. I first came across ~wicktone's work on TheForce.net, and I have never ceased to be impressed with just how amazing this artist is.
